Ernest Wins Vodafone World of Difference Award

A big CONGRATULATIONS to Ernest on winning a place on the Vodafone World of Difference Awards 2012.
Expressing his sentiments with obvious excitement, he said,
“The prospects this placement has opened to me
are enormous, to say the least. To be supported to work on a project for
a charity I founded, augments my credibility immensely and also gives
the charity the kind of exposure it needs to hopefully attract further
funding in future.”

Recounting his experience at Refugee Aware he
touched on how difficult but rewarding it had been:
“…Although the project has often toddled under the enormous weight of
challenges and expectations, it has indeed been an enjoyable few years…
I feel immensely privileged and awfully excited; and if I may resort to
colloquialism, one may describe my demeanour in the sum of the following
childish phrases: “Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy” and “Yipee!”…

Used But Useful


Refugee Aware has made a donation of used clothes to the British Red Cross in Forest Hill, South East London. The items, delivered in 15 large polythene bags were sorted and bagged by a team of four young and very enthusiastic volunteers.
The donation was meant to augment the effort of the British Red Cross in the provision of assistance to refugees and internally displaced person the world over.
